Allen Canfield

Allen Kurtz Canfield 66 of Glasgow died Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Michigan he was the son of the late Guy Allen and Alma Stockton Canfield. Mr. Canfield was retired truck driver and member of the Wesleyan Church and Gideon's of Cheboygan, Michigan. Survivors include his wife Doris E. Canfield of Glasgow, 1 son Anthony Canfield and wife Kaye of Owosso, MI, 2 daughters Julie Halbrooks and husband Michael of Newaygo, MI and Jane McConnell of Gloucester, VA, 1 son-in-law Stanley Whittaker of Owosso, MI 2 brothers Paul and Laurence Canfield both of Michigan, 2 sisters Elizabeth Howe and Cheryl Dillehay both of Michigan, 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 daughter Doris Bethany Whittaker and 1 sister Alma Lee Riness. Funeral services will be held 10AM Thursday, January 22, 2004 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Riness Family Cemetery in Metcalfe County. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 7PM Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at the funeral home.
