Bessie Mansfield

Marie Polson Mansfield 80 of Glasgow, KY died Tuesday June 21, 2005 at the Glenview Health Care Facility in Glasgow. She was born in Metcalfe County the daughter of the late Herman and Thelma Ball Polson and wife of the late Leslie 'Bud' Mansfield. Mrs. Mansfield was a long time employee of George Ford Jeweler in Glasgow and was a member of the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a step son, Gaylord 'Gig' Mansfield of Florida; 1 sister Maxine Robertson of Glasgow; 1 brother W. H. Polson Jr. of Knob Lick, KY; a sister in law Virginia Robertson of Lexington and several nieces and nephews including Wayne Robertson of Temple Hill, Jean Phillips of Louisville, Billy Polson and Bobby Polson of Glasgow, Freddie Polson of Knob Lick, Jerry Polson of Cave City, Susan Nichols and Martha Kantor of Glasgow and Sally Castlen of Lexington. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Joseph Beard, and two brothers Ralph and Lonnie Polson. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday June 23, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and on Thursday from 8am until time for services.
