Charleen Allen

Charleen Allen 81 of the Red Cross Community died Friday May 30, 2008 at her home after a lengthy illness. Born in Barren County the daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie (Richey) Payne. She was a member of Merry Oaks Methodist Church and a retired School Teacher of the Barren County School System. Survivors include her husband of 59 years Garnet Allen; 4 sons Gary Allen, J.D.(Patty) Allen, David (Pat) Allen and Billy (Enita) Allen all of Park City; 2 daughters Shirley(Danny) Reed of Park City and Sue (Roger) Gentry of Glasgow; 1 sister Juanita Lawrence of Smith Grove; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and 5 foster great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Edward Payne; niece Brenda Owens; daughter in law Louise Allen and a great grandson Blake Gentry. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday June 2, 2008 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Merry Oaks Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:00pm Sunday at the funeral home.
