Dorothy Payne

Dorothy Garnett Payne 91 of Glasgow died Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at her daughters residence in Glasgow. Born in Marion, IN she was the daughter of the late Joseph Jones and Hazel Swathwood Jones and wife of the late John Henry McKinley Payne. Mrs. Payne was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include 5 daughters Peggy Huffman of Glasgow, Thelma Kingrey of Glasgow, Jeannie Compton of Glasgow, Hazel Howard of Springfield, KY and Linda Foley of Glasgow; 4 sons Donnie Payne of Marion, IN, Wally Payne of Marion, IN, Jimmie Payne of Bardstown, KY and Ricky Payne of Lawrenceburg, KY; 27 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by a son Charles Payne, a grandson Norman Payne, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be 10:00am Saturday, October 29, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Elmwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, KY following the services. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
