Elmus Harold Taylor 78 of Glasgow died Thursday August 18th at his home. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Roscoe and Neva Glass Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a farmer and was retired from the Barren County School System after 27 years as a school bus driver. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII and was a member of the Union #2 Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lorene Wiley Taylor; 1 son Lonnie 'Buddy' Taylor and wife Anne of Glasgow; a son in law Jerry (Debbie) Nuckols of Atlanta, GA; 5 grandchildren Greg Nuckols and wife Tracie of Indiana, Denise Huston and husband Todd of Indiana, Julie Edrington and husband Matt of Colorado, Shannon Taylor and wife Tresea of Glasgow and Jeremy Taylor and wife Chastity of Glasgow; 11 great grandchildren; 1 brother Eldon Taylor and wife Marie of Glasgow; 4 sisters Alline Piercy of California, Mary Frances Scowden of Indiana, Jean Ellis and husband Rondal of Louisville and Joan Devasher of Indiana; an Aunt Marie Harvey of Temple Hill and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Elmus Harold Taylor, Jr. and a daughter Charlotte Faye Taylor Nuckols. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday August 20, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Union #2 Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00PM on Friday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
