Gayle Cary

Wanda Gayle Cary, 80, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Monday, January 29, 2024, at her residence surrounded by the ones she loved. She was born December 05, 1943, in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Garlan Reneau and late Wanda Blanche (Crabtree) Reneau. Gayle spent many years as a devoted LPN at TJ Samson Community Hospital where she retired. She was also a faithful member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Since retirement Gayle loved to spend her time surrounded by her family and watching UK basketball.

Survivors include two daughters, Lana Jeffries and Shana Word (Michael); sister, Carol Atkinson (Mike); grandchild, Gunnar Word; and nephew, Scott Atkinson.

In addition to her parents, Gayle was preceded in death by her son, Brian Ronal Sullivan.

The funeral service for Gayle will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 1st, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 31st, at the funeral home and Thursday until time for the funeral service.
