Harold Furlong

Harold Glen Furlong 79 of Glasgow died Thursday July 7, 2005 at the Barren County Health Care Facility in Glasgow. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Milton and Rena Lawrence Furlong. Mr. Furlong was a retired insurance agent after 30 years with the Life of Georgia Insurance Company. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII, a member of the Allen Lodge #24 F&AM in Glasgow and a member of the Old Zion United Methodist Church. He is survived by a daughter, Roswitha Blin and husband Patrick of Paris, France; 2 grandsons Jerome and Daniel Blin of France; 1 brother Travis Furlong and wife Louise of Glasgow; 2 sisters Bernadene Johnson and husband Leonard of Glasgow and Dorothea Stephens of Bowling Green, KY and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, July 11, 2005 at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Old Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:30pm Sunday at the funeral home. The family suggests that alternate expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial contributions to the Old Zion United Methodist Church.
