Joe Coffey

Joe Powell Coffey 89 of Glasgow died December 7, 2011 at the Glasgow State Nursing Facility. Born in Barren Co. he was the son of the late W. O. & Purnie Hunley Coffey and husband of the late Cora Ruth Coffey. Mr. Coffey was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a son Steve Coffey (Lisa) of Hiseville; a daughter Linda Paulette Wheeler (Calvin) of Glasgow; 2 grandchildren Justin Coffey of Glasgow and Sharon Poynter of Edmonton; 5 great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends and family at Glasgow State Nursing Facility also survive. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by 3 brothers Harry, Cordell and Malcolm Coffey and a grandchild Renee Pedigo. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
