Joseph Weaver

Joseph Bedford 'J. B.' Weaver 83 of Glasgow died Friday, September 30, 2005 at his residence. Born in Barren Co. he was the son of the late James Wilson Weaver & Denie Jane Lowery and husband of the late Iola Miller Weaver. Mr. Weaver was a farmer in the New Salem Community and retired from the Gulf Oil Company in Glasgow. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and a Veteran of World War II serving in U. S. Army. Survivors include his companion Ann Wilson; 2 daughters Connie Emory & husband Charles of Norman, OK and Kim Gleitz & husband George of Bowling Green, KY; a son Keith Weaver & wife Vicki of Glasgow; 8 grandchildren Charles 'Chuck' Emory & wife Jan, Tanya Guthrie & husband Lloyd, Chris Emory & wife Suzannah, Chad Emory & wife April, Brandy Pendygraft & husband Jamie, Joshua Williams, Brandon Weaver & wife Ashley and A. J. Stahl; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife he is preceded in death by a grandson Davy Williams, 4 brothers Berford, Pomp, Jesse & Melvin Weaver and 3 sisters Lennie Bagby, Allie Wells and Irene Proffitt. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, October 3, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:00pm Sunday at the funeral home.
