W. Floyd Chapman 74 of Glasgow, KY went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 23, 2009 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. The Barren County native was the son of the late Clemmie Luther Chapman and Sarah Emma Jones Chapman. Mr. Chapman was a retired farmer, and former employee of SKF. He was a member of Brotherhood Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the 623rd Field Artillery KY Natl. Guard in Glasgow. He was a true servant of God and loved his family and church unconditionally. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Emma Jean Finn Chapman; 3 children Pamela (Rodney) Pace of Arlington, TX, Sheila (Larry) Smith of Glasgow and Scott (Mechele) Chapman of Runaway Bay, TX; 7 grandchildren Dewayne (Melissa) Pace, Matthew Pace, Krista (Cliff) Shank, Demetria Chapman, Daylin Chapman and Colby Chapman all of Texas, and Allison Grace Smith of Glasgow; 3 great grandchildren Colten, Caleb and Catherine Pace of Hurst, TX; a brother Leo Chapman of Glasgow and a sister Velma Mosby of Glasgow. He was preceded in death by a brother Paul Chapman and a sister Virginia Thomas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Brotherhood Freewill Baptist Church Building Fund.
