Bertha Cheatham Williams

Bertha Cheatham Williams, age 87, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away February 02, 2025, at NHC Healthcare of Glasgow. She was born December 06, 1937, in Glasgow, Kentucky, to the late Horace Cheatham and the late Mae Collins Cheatham. Bertha spent most of her life caring for others as a nurse in long-term care facilities. After retirement she enjoyed spending her time traveling and being with her loved ones.

She is survived by two daughters, Alison Williams Whalen (Michael) and Alida Beth Williams; one son, John Hampton Jr.; grandchildren, Nigel Caudill, Katherine Etherton Smith, Daryl A. Strauss, and Sean James; several great grandchildren; sister, JoAnne Cheatham McCoy; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, John Sam Cheatham, Will Cheatham, Louise Tarry, Evelyn Marcum, Linda Byrd, and Mary Matthews.

The family has honored Bertha’s wishes for cremation under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
