Carol Janette Renfro McGuire, born on September 18, 1936, in Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away on January 4, 2026, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose life was a testament to love, dedication, and faith.

A devoted homemaker and caretaker, Janette took great pride in nurturing her family and those around her. Her loving spirit was exemplified in the many ways she supported her loved ones, always putting their needs first. Her commitment to family extended beyond mere responsibilities; it was rooted in love and deep affection, echoing throughout her years.

Janette was also known for her remarkable talents and interests. She found joy in spending time in her garden, where she cultivated not only plants but cherished memories with family. Her skills in sewing and quilting allowed her to create beautiful pieces that will be treasured by her family for generations. Above all, her greatest joy came from the moments spent with her family, sharing stories and laughter that will forever resonate in the hearts of her loved ones.

Her proudest accomplishment was her unwavering faith, which began when our Lord saved her soul at the age of 12. She became a devoted member of Mt Pleasant Baptist Church, where she played piano for over 60 years.

Janette's legacy is carried on by her son, Tim McGuire (Indy), and her daughter, Kellie Ward (Steve). She was a doting grandmother to her grandchildren: Jabin McGuire (Megan), Shaylin McGuire Rone (Justin), and Molly Sheffield (Matthew). Her great-grandchildren, Knox McGuire, Alana McGuire, Remington McGuire, and Cleo Rone; and a special niece, Heather Richey (Jeff). brought her immense joy, as she delighted in their accomplishments and the warmth of their youthful spirits. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by her brother-in-law, Elder Billy Moran, along with several nieces and nephews, all of whom cherished her presence in their lives.

Janette now joins her beloved husband, Jimmy McGuire, and her parents, Goebel and Mertye Underwood Renfro, who preceded her in death. She is also reunited with her siblings: Botts Renfro, Joe Renfro, Harold Renfro, Wert Renfro, Ewell Renfro, Anna B. Lewis, and Alice "Jane" Moran, whose memories continue to inspire and guide those she left behind.
