Edwin Leroy Bartley, 96, of Glasgow, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, at Shanti Niketan Hospice Home in Glasgow, Kentucky, after a brief illness. He was born in No Bob, Kentucky, on November 7, 1929, to the late Ralph and Clemma Bartley. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Eula Mae Powell Bartley; sister, Edna Ruth Botts; brothers, Wayne, Earl, Arnold, Lance, Richard, and Lawrence Bartley. He was a man of quiet faith and a member of Glasgow Baptist Church.

Leroy joined the United States Air Force after high school and married his loving wife, Eula Mae. They had three children Edwina, Eddie, and Ellen. He retired from the Air Force in 1971 with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant and served in the Korean War in teletype and communications. After retirement, he began his golf career as a golf pro at Pinewood Country Club and Glasgow Golf and Country Club. During this time, he also worked with Tommy Wells Construction. He was also a member of the Barren Bassmasters and Barren River Rod and Gun Club. Later in life, he found a passion for crafting his "top water lures". He was also a proud Mason.

He is survived by his three children, Edwina Spillman (Mark), Eddie Bartley (Kim), and Ellen Rogers (Charlie); grandchildren, Katie Jones (Blake), Scotty Karnes (Carissa), Erza Bartley (Haley), Eli Bartley, Evan Bartley (Keely), and Andy Bartley (Candace); great grandchildren, Brayden Bartley, Boston Bartley, Eero Bartley, Eden Conner, Riley Claire Jones, Katelyn Sutton, Lily Sutton, and Landon Sutton; brothers, Larry Bartley (Jerri) of Tennessee and Gary Bartley (Marilyn) of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 12th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Union #2 cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Saturday, and Sunday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.

Military honors will be provided by Glasgow DAV Chapter #20.

He will be greatly missed by his family and all who had the honor of knowing him.
