Emma Jean Pitcock, 88, lifelong resident of Glasgow, Kentucky, recently of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Heritage Hall in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. She was born November 27, 1933 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to the late Raymond Bartley and Ethel Dodson Bartley. Emma wore many hats during her career. She was an executive secretary for SCRTC, office manager for Gillenwater Law Firm, part-time office manager at Columbia Avenue Church of Christ, and co-owner of Kiddie Korner. In her free time, she loved watching birds and tending to her wildflowers. Emma was a graduate of Tompkinsville High School, attended Lipscomb University, and was a member of Columbia Avenue Church of Christ. Survivors include her three sons, Bart Pitcock (Stephanie), Scott Pitcock (Paula), Troy Pitcock (Dara Cottrill); two grandchildren, Emma and Ellie Pitcock; one sister, Evadene Kirkpatrick; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Dee Pitcock; one grandchild, Will Pitcock; and one sister, Sue Proffitt. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter Kaden Tower 6100 Dutchmans Lane Suite 401 Louisville, Kentucky 40205-3284. The funeral service for Mrs. Pitcock will be held 11:00 AM Sunday, January 9th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Sunday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F. Crow & Son is honored to be entrusted in the care of Mrs. Pitcock.
