Genell Bowman

Genell Proffitt Bowman 79 of Glasgow, died Friday, July 24, 2015 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Monroe County, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Irma Smith Proffitt. Mrs. Bowman was a homemaker and a member of Dover Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, William Carl 'Bill' Bowman; 2 daughters Karen Sue White (Jimmy) and Sherry Lynn Powell (Brett) both of Glasgow; 2 grandchildren Todd Cash (Alura) of Bowling Green and Megan Miller (Damon) of Glasgow; 2 great-grandchildren Mireya Cash and Malachi Crafton; a brother Arlen B. Proffitt (Dixene) of Glasgow; 3 sisters Ada Bowman and Brenda Hogue of Glasgow and Sue Copas (Jimmy) of Mt. Hermon and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, July 26th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4pm Saturday.
