Hester Loretta Anderson, age 81, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Hartsville Care and Rehab in Hartsville, Tennessee. She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and kindness that will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Loretta was born on June 14, 1944, in Glasgow, Kentucky, to the late James Harper and the late Ollie Huff Harper. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Loretta found her greatest joy in caring for others—especially through her love of cooking and bringing family together around the table.
Alongside her late husband, Willie "David" Anderson, Loretta owned and operated Anderson’s BBQ in Westmoreland, Tennessee, where she served the community with delicious food and a warm, welcoming spirit. Her generosity and nurturing heart touched countless lives, and her family was always at the center of everything she did.
She is survived by her three sons, Brad Anderson (April), Jeff Anderson (Denise), and Billy Anderson (Hope); 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her loving memory. She is also survived by her beloved sisters, Mary Louis Gilbert and Caroline Vilbert, who shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love with her.
In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her siblings: Juanita Sexton, Vonda Flowers, Kenneth Harper, Danny Harper, Sue Ann Hurt, and Mary Joyce Allen. Each of them held a special place in her heart.
The funeral service for Mrs. Anderson will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 22nd at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Lick Branch Cemetery.
