James Earle Lindsey 72 of Glasgow died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at his home. He was born in Caneyville, KY, a son of the late Lennie and Dolice Brooks Lindsey. Mr. Lindsey was a lifelong Baptist, a veteran serving in the U.S. Army and was retired after 33 years as a teacher, a coach and a school administrator and most of that time being spent in the Barren County School System. Since his retirement, he has been an avid golfer. He is survived by a son Lex Lindsey and wife Joanna of Bowling Green; a daughter Laura Marcum and husband Steve of Cookeville, TN; 3 grandchildren Kelsay Manion, Grant Marcum and Hallie Anna Lindsey; 2 brothers David Lindsey of Horse Cave and Don Lindsey of Shepherdsville, KY and 2 nephews Tim and Jon Lindsey. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and continue Wednesday morning at 8:00am until time for the service.
