James Owensby

James R. Owensby 87 of Glasgow, KY died Thursday January 26, 2006 at the NHC Health Care Facility in Glasgow. He was born in Barren County the son of the late James C. and Mina Baise Owensby. Mr. Owensby was a farmer and a former school teacher at Austin Tracy and in the Hardin County School System. He was a graduate of both Western Kentucky University and the University of KY. Mr. Owensby was a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII and was a member of the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He is survived by a niece Toni Bertram Rucker of Sonora, KY; two great nieces and a great great niece and his caregivers Arnold and Carolyn Berry. He was also preceded in death by a brother Victor Lee Owensby. Funeral services will be at 3:30pm Saturday January 28, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm on Friday.
