Jesse Butler

Jesse Richard Butler 68 of Glasgow died Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at the Metcalfe Co. Nursing Home in Edmonton, KY. Born in Barren Co. he was the son of the late Martin & Dewey Bishop Butler. Mr. Butler was a member of the Old Zion Untied Methodist Church, the American Legion, Barren River Cloggers, Glasgow Recreation Squares and the Arc of Barren County. He was retired after 31 years from Inland Steel Company in East Chicago, IN and a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Survivors include his wife Joyce Lee Teeter Butler of Glasgow; 2 daughters Belinda Staley & husband Mike of Lancing, IL and Karen Sue Gillespie & husband Terry of Highland, IN; 3 step children Diana Kuntz & husband Frank of Pawpaw, MI, Lisa Ledzius of Glasgow, KY and John Moss & wife Michelle of Glasgow; 2 sisters Mildred Woosley of Louisville, KY and Mona Bumbico & husband Joe of San Diego, CA; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 2 sisters Maybelle Brown and Edith Butler and 2 brothers Frank & Thurman Butler. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Friday, April 29, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Butler-Huffman Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Thursday at the funeral home.
