John James Tomko III, born on November 29, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, at Signature Healthcare in Glasgow, Kentucky. He was a dedicated professional and a beloved family man, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and devotion.

John spent over 25 years at Eaton Axle, where he held the position of plant superintendent. His commitment to excellence and leadership during his tenure earned him the respect of his colleagues and the community. Following his retirement, John embraced his entrepreneurial spirit and became the proud owner and operator of JJ Collectibles, a venture that allowed him to share his passion with others.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, John was known for his love of bowling. This hobby not only brought him joy but also forged lasting friendships and cherished memories throughout his life.

He is survived by his son Gary Tomko (Tracey), and three grandchildren: Morgan Billingsley (Cole), Madison Tomko, and Mason Tomko. They remember him as a loving and supportive figure, whose presence enriched their lives.

John is preceded in death by his father, John James Tomko Jr.; his mother, Emily Biggs Tomko; his wife, Debra Schmidt Tomko; and his brother, David Tomko. Each of these losses weighed heavily on John, but he carried their memories forward with dignity and grace.

John James Tomko III will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family has honored Mr. Tomko's wishes of cremation under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
