Juanita Kirby

Juanita Kirby, 76, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow, Kentucky. Born on October 19, 1948, in Glasgow, she dedicated her life to her family and her work, spending 33 years in the laundry department at NHC Healthcare.

Juanita was deeply committed to her faith, being a cherished member of the Grider Memorial Baptist Church. Her love for the Lord guided her actions, and her kind-hearted nature endeared her to everyone she encountered. Juanita's family was her greatest joy, and she treasured the moments spent with them. Whether coloring, shopping, or simply sharing time together, she embraced life's simple pleasures with warmth and enthusiasm.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Lee Pickett; her grandchild, Garrett Pickett; and her sisters, Norma Hale, Ruth Smith, Lois Akin, Wanda Smith, Beverly Thomas (Jerry), and Betty Jo Landrum (John). Additionally, she is survived by her brother, James Ragle (Jo Ann), along with several nieces and nephews, who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Kirby; her parents, Norman Ragle and Mayme Alice Britt Ragle; and her brothers, Hershell Ragle, Gerald Ragle, and Steven Ragle, and, John Daniel Ragle.

The funeral service for Ms. Kirby will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May,14, 2025, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and after 8:00 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
