Judy Casey Young Spear

Judy Young Spear, born Judy Casey Wright, passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born on October 17, 1949. Judy will be remembered with love for the care she gave to others throughout her life and for the place she held in the hearts of her family.

Judy worked as a CNA and provided private in-home care for patients. Her work reflected a life of compassion, service, and kindness. She spent her time helping others in a personal and meaningful way, and that care left a lasting impression on those whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hershel Wright, and her mother, Eva Daily Wright.

Judy is survived by her husband, Elmer Spear. She also leaves behind her daughter, Jennie Gardner and her husband, Tony; her daughter, Pennie Shirley; and her son, Jeff Wheat (Jamie). Her memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren, Felicia Morgan (Otis), Dewayne Morgan, Joshua Morgan (Chrysee), Crystal Shirley, Cody Shirley, Corey Shirley, Justice Wheat and his wife, Sarah, and Journey Gray and her husband, Colton.

She was also blessed with great-grandchildren who brought joy to her family: Kylie Pruitt, Kaydence Pruitt, Korbin Trigg, Kelson Trigg, Jayden Morgan, Preston Miles, and Zayden Averette.

Judy’s life was rooted in caring for others, both in her work and in her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

The family has chosen cremation, under the direction of A.F Crow and Son Funeral Home.
