Judy "Nanna" Carol Turner, aged 66, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on November 11, 1958, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Judy led a life characterized by love, dedication, and compassionate service to others.
Throughout her career, Judy worked at TJ Samson Community Hospital as a Patient Experience Representative. Her warm demeanor and commitment to helping others made a lasting impact on patients and colleagues. She approached her role with a genuine desire to enhance the well-being of those she served.
Judy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her daughter, Angela Pennington (Jason), and her cherished grandchildren: Hunter Thompson (Zion), Caraline Thompson, Wyatt Pennington, as well as her great-grandchild, Moxon Thompson. Additionally, she leaves her loving sister, Brenda Shaw, niece, Susan Clemmons (Troy), and nephew, Steven Furlong (Calissa). Judy's life touched many, and she is also remembered fondly by her special friends Sarah Garrett and Andrea Conover, as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her beloved father, James Oakley Bunch Jr.; her mother, Mary Imogene Cox Bunch; and her son-in-law, Samuel "Fooman" Thompson. Each of these losses was deeply felt, yet Judy lived her life with resilience and grace, honoring their memory through the love and kindness she shared with those around her.
The funeral service for Ms. Turner will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday May, 9, 2025, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and after 8:00 AM, Friday at the funeral home.
