Justin Maccarthy

Justin MacCarthy MD FACS FICS, 77, died peacefully at his home in Glasgow on Sunday, January 25th after a brief illness. He is survived by Maureen, his beloved wife of 46 years, his four daughters, Maire Blankenship (Ray), Deirdre MacCarthy (Josh Putterman) Una MacCarthy (Reid Freeman) and Mairead Baker (Red), his grandchildren Nate, Emily, Allie, Grace, Hart, Katharine, Justin, George, MacCarthy, Brynn, and Maeve, his brother Florence MacCarthy (Moira), and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Justin was born in Loughrea, County Galway, Ireland on April 1, 1931. After attending the National University of Ireland, he graduated from the University College of Galway Medical School in 1955.
