Leroy Thomas Deckard

Leroy Thomas Deckard, of Glasgow, Kentucky, went home to be with Jesus, on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at TJ Samson Community Hospital. Leroy was born on April 10, 1939, in Barren County, to the late Sammie and Grace Deckard. Leroy had reached the age of 87 years young. He was a faithful member of the Cannanland Baptist Church. Leroy worked as a commercial and residential plumber since he was 20 years old, until his retirement.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Hibbett Deckard, blessed with 67 years of marriage; three children, Roy Deckard (Shirley), Sandy Kise (Tom), and Jonathan Deckard (Jodi); six grandchildren, Adam Lester (Scarlett), Derek White (Colleen), Hillary Sexton (Nick), Amanda Hurt (Josh), Krista Gray (Jeremy), and Danie Strombeck; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Knowlden; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Corey Daniel Deckard; two sisters, Sadie Moore and Mae Green; five brothers, Kenneth Deckard, Bobby Deckard, Willard Deckard, Floyd Deckard, and one infant brother.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 9, 2026, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 8, 2026 and after 8:00 AM Friday, until time for the service at the funeral home.
