Linda Gail Sneed, age 77, of Summer Shade, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at Centennial Health Care in Nashville on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Yaden, and a sister, Rosemary Yaden. Linda was also preceded by her nephew, Michael DeWeese, and her two brothers-in-law, Jerry Guest and Duane Tuttle.
Linda is survived by her husband Richard Farris Sneed. She is survived by her two sons and their spouses; Joey and Susan Sneed, and Robert and Jami Sneed. She also leaves behind three grandchildren and their spouses, Tyler and Kaitland Sneed, Breana and Chuck Crowley, and Andrew and Megan Sneed. Linda leaves three sisters, Joann Guest, Carrie Tuttle, and Vicki Beatty. She also is survived by two nieces and two great nieces, Becky (Mike) Jarboe and Jenny Guest, and Emily and Kailey Jarboe.
Linda was a walking angel on Earth to her husband and family, as well as every person she had the opportunity to befriend in her lifetime. She carried herself with such grace as she showed love and compassion to the people she loved and cared for. Linda was a devoted wife who loved and provided for her husband during their 59 years of marriage. She was a strong and loving mother who raised two beautiful and healthy men, and taught them how to be loving, tender providers for their future spouses and families.
“God needed a new angel to tend to his flowers, and he chose you. We were not ready, but we will tend to your gardens here until we are called home too.”
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Sunday, October 8th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Union #2 Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, October 7th, and Sunday morning until time for services at the funeral home. An Eastern Star Service will be held at 7 pm Saturday, October 7th.
In lieu of flowers, Linda’s wishes were that donations be made to the Salvation Army or Barren County Animal Shelter (BRAWA) in her honor.
