Lou Ellen Howard Demunbrun, 89, of Glasgow, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was born in Edmonson County on November 17, 1932, to the late Emmitt Howard and the late Snow York Howard. Mrs. Demunbrun worked for many years at T.J. Samson as a nurses aid and later moved to the Home Health Department of the Hospital. Mrs. Demunbrun has been a very active member of Glasgow Baptist Church since 1965. She enjoyed participating in the choir and helping wherever needed at the church. She was an avid reader, loved to travel and work outside with her flowers, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Moran Demunbrun, whom she married in 1948; great grandchild, Brynley Richardson; two brothers, Wendel Howard and Douglas Howard. Survivors include her three daughters, Charlotte Glass (Larry), Alexis Bowman (Kenny), and Michelle Demunbrun all of Glasgow; two sons, Tim Demunbrun (Marisa) of Cave City, and Murphy Demunbrun, Jr. (Lori) of Glasgow; grandchildren, Clay Stovall (Jenny), Ann Phelps (Jimmy), Amy Bowman, Alex Bowman, Colleen Richardson (Mike), Hilliary Wilson (Lance) al of Glasgow, Hannah Demunbrun (J.K.) of Nashville, TN, Dean Glass (Meg) of Cullman, AL, Connor Glass (Ashley), Nelson Glass (Hannah), and Peyton Bumps all of Glasgow; great grandchildren, Rayne Stovall, Claudia Phelps, Noelle Durbin, Brody Richardson, Matthew Durbin, Blakely Richardson, Mayson Redwine, and Blaise Wilson; sister, Charlotte Jackson (John) of Westport, KY; brother, Steve Howard (Sherry) of Louisville, KY. nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held 11:00am Wednesday, March 23rd at the Glasgow Baptist Church with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday morning from 9:00am until time for the service at the Glasgow Baptist Church. Mrs. Demunbrun's family request that expressions of sympathy may be made to the Lottie Moon Offering, through the Glasgow Baptist Church, in honor of Lou Ellen Howard Demunbrun. A.F.
