Madonna Sue Biggers, a devoted case worker for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and a steadfast servant of Christ, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at the Shanti Niketan Hospice House. Born on January 1, 1946, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, Madonna lived a life deeply rooted in faith and service, leaving a profound impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Throughout her life, Madonna was well-known for her unwavering commitment to her faith. She was a faithful servant of Christ, consistently encouraging those around her with her heartfelt message to “keep your eyes on Jesus.”
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Biggers, and her dearest friend, Betty Sue Ferrel. Madonna also mourned the loss of her parents, Marion Smith and Violet Rose Smith, as well as her brother Gary Smith.
She is survived by her sons Brian Springer, Brent Springer (Kim), and Chris Springer (Angie), along with Mark Biggers (Debbie), whom she considered a son by choice. Her beloved grandchildren include Ashton Biggers (Melanie), Kyle Springer (Amanda), Brynn Springer, Chelsea Springer (Jake), Hayley Biggers Smith (Tevis), Chase Christie, Ann Douglas Martin (Dee), Ty Springer (Emma), Sydney Springer, and Staylee Shirley. Her loving great-grandchildren are Brexleigh Coleman, Zaiden Martin, Camri Martin, Wade Martin, Mable Springer, Aidan Springer, Oliver Biggers, Maris Biggers, Balen Smith, and Evi Clark Smith and Staylee Shirley. Madonna’s sister Linda Wilson and her husband Greg, along with sister-in-law Shirley Smith and several nieces and nephews, survive her, as do her special heart friends Connie Layne, Stacey Smith, and Germaid West.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 27th, at Glenview Christian Church with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Tuesday at Glenview Christian Church and again Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM until time for the service at the church.
The family has request memorial contributions be made to Samaritan's Purse or Glenview Christian Church.
Her enduring commitment to her faith, family, and community will be remembered with great respect and admiration by all whose lives she touched. Madonna’s legacy is one of love, faithfulness, and service—a true reflection of a life well-lived under the guidance and grace of Christ. May she rest in eternal peace.
