Marvin Rondal Shockley

Marvin Rondal Shockley, 91, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023, at his residence. He was born April 21, 1932, in Wisdom, Kentucky to the late Edgar Shockley and Mammie Coffey Shockley. Marvin was a lifelong farmer and raised beef cattle. He loved tractors, old cars and everyone who knew him loved him. He never met a stranger and was a devoted member of Union #2 Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Eddie Shockley (Pam); one sister, Ruth; nine grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nell Katherine Shockley; two sons, Dralin Shockley and Steve Shockley; his siblings, Sylvia, Jewell, Lucille, Geneva, Jenette; and two infant siblings, Jon William and Eula.

The funeral service for Mr. Shockley will be held 12:00 PM Monday, September 11th at Union #2 Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the Union #2 Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until time for the service at the church.
