Mary Gentry

Mary Edith Gentry 80 of Glasgow died Saturday, April 1, 2006 at the Glasgow Health & Rehab Center. Born in Barren Co. she was the daughter of the late Jonah & Verda Waller Anderson and wife of the late Ulysses Scott Gentry. Mrs. Gentry was a member of the Dover Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter Abbie Combs (Randy) of Glasgow; a son Clifton Gentry (Rena) of Tompkinsville; a step-daughter Christine Turner of Tompkinsville; 2 step-sons Garland Junior Gentry (Roberta) of Freedom and J. T. Gentry (Shirley) of Louisville; a brother Luther Anderson (Phyllis) of Elgin, IL; a sister Martha Jones of Glasgow; a sister-in-law Virginia Anderson; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 17 step grandchildren, 29 step great grandchildren and 11 step great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a step-son Stanley Gentry, a brother James Anderson, a half sister Verda Mayo, a son-in-law Thurman Turner and a brother-in-law Wallace Jones. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00pm Monday at the funeral home.
