Mary Whiteside, age 76, of Glasgow, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was born in Tulsa, OK, on November 16, 1946, to the late Carl A. Clark and the late Gertrude (Siefers) Clark. Mary graduated from Vanderbilt University and taught High School in Nashville before moving to Glasgow, Kentucky with her husband, Jim. Mary was a tomboy as a child, a talented pianist for most of her life and loved coaching the Glasgow Swim Team for ten years. Her proudest moments and greatest joys were being a mom to their four sons and grandmother to her two grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Jim Whiteside; four sons, Adam, John, Andrew, and George Whiteside; one sister, Eleanor Campbell; two grandchildren, Kilbourne and Lux Whiteside; and nieces, Merry Bond and Virginia Jones. She was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Clark. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 3rd, at First Christian Church in Glasgow with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at First Christian Church and Saturday morning until time for services. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to the Alzheimer's Association. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Whiteside.
