Michael Hal Anderson

Michael Hal Anderson, 74, passed away on September 9, 2026, at TJ Samson Community Hospital. He was born on January 11, 1952, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was raised in Gordon, Nebraska, where during his high school years, he was the quarterback for the Gordon Broncs and ran the high hurdles with his brother Paul.

After moving to Kentucky, he worked as a dedicated route man for Schwan’s. He enjoyed water skiing, riding his horse, Brandy, and watching old westerns. These interests brought him happiness and gave those around him many good memories to hold close.

He is survived by his wife, Jody Hicks Anderson; his son, Austin Anderson, wife, Jessica; his daughters, Valorie Anderson and Erika Butler; her husband, Devin. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Avery, Amelia, and Everett Anderson, and Caroline and Reagan Butler. Michael is also survived by his brothers, Steve Anderson and Erik Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his father, E.A. Anderson; his mother, Marjorie Anderson; and his brother, Paul Anderson.

The family has chosen cremation under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
