Mike Holmes "Preacher"

Michael “Preacher” Lee Holmes, age 71, of Glasgow, passed away at TJ Samson Community Hospital, Wednesday, August 28, 2024. He was born in Glasgow, Kentucky, on July 12, 1953, to the late Clarence Holmes and the late Emma Racheal (Ellis) Holmes. Michael is best known for his career in construction work installing drywall and became a truck driver later in life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Michael was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Kaye Holmes; three children, Timmy Holmes, Tyler Martin, and Heather Mitchell (Jay); grandchildren, Raymond Holmes, Benjamin Holmes, Lilly Tucker, Trevor Mitchell, and Julia Mitchell; nephew, Todd Holmes (Karen); cousin, Linda Meadows (Larry); close friend, Charles Shaw; his motorcycle brothers and sisters, and his AA family of 31 years.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany Martin and his brother, Buell Holmes.

The family has honored Michael’s wishes to be cremated under the direction of A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home. A memorial service for Mr. Holmes will be announced by the family at a later date.
