Mildred Marie Lowe

Mildred Shaw Lowe, 92, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away on August 12, 2026, at Barren County Health and Rehabilitation. She was born in Burkesville, Kentucky to the late Gilbert Shaw and the late Sarah Ellen Syra Shaw. Mildred retired from General Electric in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a member of the Westwood Church of Christ. She learned early the value of hard work and faith, and she carried herself with grace and humility. Mildred remained deeply connected to her roots and the people she loved.

Mildred is survived by her nieces and nephews, Beth Kundle of Glasgow, Rita Lowe McCarter (Scotty) of Tennessee, Karen Smith of Indiana, Helen Shoopman of Indiana, Hazel Coop (Joseph) of Glasgow, Larry Garmon of Glasgow, Tim Garmon (Sherry) of Glasgow, Freddie Shaw (Anna) of Glasgow, Teres Adwell (Bobby) of California; and her precious cat "Bella".

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John W. Lowe; sisters, Murl Shaw, Evalee Garmon, and 2 infant sisters; and brother, Douglas Shaw.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 17, 2026, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 8:00 AM, Monday, until time for service at the funeral home.
