Nancy Sue Trowbridge

Nancy Sue Trowbridge, age 85, of Cave City, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024. She was born on January 12, 1939, to her late parents, Orville Scroggin and Louella Mae Denning Scroggin. She was married to her husband of 62 years, Samuel “Wayne” Trowbridge.

Nancy was a homemaker who loved spending time with and cooking for her family. She was a member of Coral Hill Baptist Church and was a charter member of True Gospel Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, Michigan.

Survivors include four children, Twila Trowbridge Brown (Frank), Valerie Rose Trowbridge, Steven Wayne Trowbridge (Denys), and Stacy Renee Barrick (Nathan); brother, Orville Fred (Sonny) Scroggin; sister, Polly Scroggin; a very special aunt, Pauline Denning Mason; grandchildren, Jonathon Trowbridge, Stephanie Trowbridge, Sarah Trowbridge, Joshua Trowbridge, Jordan Trowbridge, Matthan Trowbridge, Bentley Barrick.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Ellen Kennett, Carol Snyder, Betty Fox; brother, Donnie Scroggin, as well as two siblings who passed at birth; son-in-law, Sam Leach.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 19th at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral home with burial in the Asbury Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday and Tuesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
