Naomi Mathews

Naomi Ruth Mathews 85 of Glasgow died Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Beattyville, KY she was the daughter of the late Jack & Eva Whisman Horton. She was a member of the Coral Hill Church of Christ. Survivors include 3 daughters Donita Carter Wimpee of Bowling Green, Becky Carter Pickett of White House, TN and Lisa Mathews Votaw (Mike) of Glasgow; a son Jackie Lee Carter (Sara) of Glasgow; 3 sisters Janice Smith (Scott) of Beaver Creek, OH, Valera Baker of Greenwood, IN and Terrie Poore of Campbellsville, KY; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws including a special sister-in-law Mabel Pedigo of Hiseville also survives. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Karen Mathews Shaw, 2 sons Billy Jewell Carter & Stevie Mathews, 2 sisters Gertrude Houchens & Bea Shaw and a brother Coleman Horton. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 11:00am Tuesday at the funeral home.
