Opal Slaven Britt 83 of Glasgow, KY died Saturday at her home. She was born in Oneida, TN the daughter of the late Robertson Crusoe Slaven and Mary Ellen Burke Slaven and wife of the late Trulon Britt, Sr. Mrs. Britt was a former employee of the Mallory's and was a Baptist by faith. She is survived by her caregivers Liz and Harl Sherrell of Glasgow; a brother Harold Slaven of Omaha, NE and a sister Freida Caldwell of Oneida, TN. At the request of Mrs. Britt, private graveside services will be held at the Happy Valley Memorial Garedens. There will be no visitation.
