Patricia Elaine Goad, a beloved figure in her community and a devoted matriarch, passed away on April 8, 2025, at the TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky. Born on June 19, 1949, in Glasgow, she dedicated her life to the service of others, owning and operating her own business. Her warm spirit and joyous personality endeared her to all she met; she never considered anyone a stranger and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Patricia leaves behind her cherished sons, Kim Austin and John Austin, along with her stepson, Stevie Goad. Her family also includes her treasured grandchildren, Shannon Austin-Goodin and Skylar Austin-Goodin, as well as several beloved step-grandchildren: Amber Riddle Moore (Matt), Roger Dale Riddle, Jared Goad (Emma Grace), Lucas Goad, Noah Goad, and Eliah Goad.

She is survived by her sister, Charlotte Church, and special nephews Ricky Spann (Melissa), Terry Spann (Shiena), and Scotty Spann (Beth), along with several nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory dear.

Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert C. Goad, and her parents, Howard Spann and Orena Rasner Spann. She was also preceded by her siblings: Robert Howard Soann Jr., Gerald Wayne Spann, Roger Dale Spann, Betty Pyror, and Barbara Carroll Spann, as well as her Aunt Flora Spann. She also mourns the loss of her stepdaughter, Bonita Riddle.

Those who knew Patricia will remember her infectious spirit and her genuine love for family and friends. She made a lasting impact on the lives of many, and her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

The family has granted Patricia's wishes with cremation. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
