Richard Bailey Chenault, 86, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 at TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born November 29, 1936 in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Esta Chenault and Tippie Bailey Chenault. Richard was a truck driver for 33 years with Stewart Trucking and later retired from Overnight Trucking. He was a proud Army veteran and was a member of East Main United Methodist Church. In his younger years, Richard loved playing basketball at Temple Hill and bowling. He was a huge UK basketball fan, loved bass fishing, and was the easiest person to buy gifts for. Survivors include his two sons, Eric Chenault (Marna) and Barry McMillin; one daughter, Beth Griffin (Rod); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, James Chenault; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years, Wilda Smith Chenault and two sisters, Katherine Chenault and Ruth Jones. The funeral service for Mr. Chenault will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 11th at A. F Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F.
