Rita Mae Cogar

Rita Mae Cogar, passed away on November 4, 2026, in Glasgow, Kentucky. She was born on August 11, 1960, in Glasgow, Kentucky.

Rita will be remembered for the simple joys that meant so much to her. She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time in nature, and she especially loved being with her grandbabies. Those who knew her will remember the warmth she shared through her life. Rita professed her salvation as a teenager and attended Canaanland Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her sons, Joshua Cogar and Elijah Cogar (Brittany). She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Aspen Cogar and Creed Cogar, who were a special part of her life. Rita is also survived by her sisters, Donna Moss, Connie Kingrey, Shelia Page (Roosevelt), and Bonnie Eubank (Clay Cropper). May her memory remain a comfort to all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Kingrey; her mother, Elizabeth Kingrey; and her brothers, Jamie Kingrey and Michael Kingrey.

Rita will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

The family has honored Rita's wishes by choosing cremation under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
