Robert "Perry" Barrett, 76, of Cave City, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, August 2, 2025. He was born on July 14, 1949, in Glasgow, Kentucky, to the late Elgin "Doc" Barrett and the late Nettie Steenbergen Barrett. He was a cherished member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and a devoted family man. Robert was a man whose life was deeply rooted in the love of family, faith, and the land.

Robert dedicated his life to farming and had a passion for mules, horses, and show cattle. His hands were shaped by hard work, and his heart was full of joy when he was able to be outside working on his farm, surrounded by his animals. He was known for his warm smile and generous spirit, often sharing laughter and stories with all those who were fortunate enough to know him. Above all,  Robert cherished the time spent with family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Deresa Kirkwood Barrett; his brother, Rommie Barrett; his sister, Peggy Barrett; and several nieces and nephews who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and love.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Rondall Barrett, and his sister, Watha Wood. Each of them played a significant role in his life, and their memories will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
