Rose Barton-Bewley

Rose Evelyn Barton-Bewley 80 of Glasgow died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at her home. She was born in Barren County, a daughter of the late Iland and Bessie Hagan Franklin. She was a member of the Grider Memorial Baptist Church and was an adult literacy tutor. Survivors include 4 daughters, Wanda Barton, Sharon Stevens (Anthony), Vickie Ann Davis (Steve) and Jacqueline Barton all of Glasgow; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; and 2 sisters, Katherine Morgan and Barbara Poteet of Glasgow. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 44 years Lonnie Barton, her second husband Wilbur Bewley, a son Donnie Barton, 4 brothers Richard, Thomas, Garnett and Murrell Franklin and two sisters Virginia England and Lora Jean Monroe. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
