Rose Slone

Rose Ann Slone, 89, of Owensboro passed away Monday, December 3, 2018 at Hermitage Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 29, 1929 to the late John Popiela and Anna Popiela. Rose was member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. She was retired form Holiday Inn where she worked as a housekeeper. Rose enjoyed church activities and spending time with her family. Along with her parents, Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Slone, Sr. Rose is survived by her son, Sam Slone, Jr. of Owensboro, Kentucky, her brother, Edward Popiela of Swanson, Ohio, her sister, Gertrude Bagrowski of Swanson, Ohio. Services will be 10:00 am Friday, December 7, 2018 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, with Father Suneesh Matthew officiating. Burial will follow at Nickel Ridge.
