Ruby Susan Thompson

Ruby Susan Thompson, born on December 27, 1928, in Three Springs, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, at the Medical Center at Scottsville. She lived a life filled with love, creativity, and dedication, cherished by all who knew her.

Susan was a devoted homemaker who poured her heart into every aspect of her family life. Her passion for sewing, cooking, and quilting exemplified her nurturing spirit, and her creations brought joy to those around her.  She was a member of Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church. 

She is survived by her two sons, Ralph Thompson, married to Lachiel, and Steve Thompson, married to JoAnn. Susan’s legacy also lives on through her three grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Susan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Fay Thompson; her father, Willie Perry Wilshire; her mother, Mary (Riordan) Wilshire; and her brother, Buddy Wilshire. 

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 6th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Seven Springs Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be make to the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
