Sallie Marie Byrd Morgan, 98, of Glasgow passed away peacefully at her home on April 9, 2026. She was a lifelong resident of Barren County born on August 6, 1927 to the late Fred Byrd and the late Eula Chapman Byrd. She retired from Glasgow Manufacturing Company (Handmacher) to stay home to keep her grandson, Doug and to help her husband, Jewell on the farm. She loved gardening and canning but especially loved making her Banana Cake and fried apple pies for family and friends. She was a member of Coral Hill Baptist Church.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Morgan; brothers, Leon, Cleon, and Eldon Byrd; sisters, Deliah Riddle and Emma Garner.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Danny Hardin; grandson and his wife, Doug and Holly Hardin of Georgetown. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as wonderful neighbors and friends. A special thanks to her great niece and caregiver, Janet Dodson and Jessica Pyanowski. As well as Kira Garrett and Sonya Deckard with Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to BRAWA or The Shanti Niketan Hospice House would be appreciated.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00PM, Tuesday, April 14th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM, Monday, and Tuesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
