Stella Elaine Bragg, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her residence on April 26, 2026. Born on May 7, 1948, in Glasgow, she leaves behind a legacy marked by devotion, warmth, and the quiet strength of a life well lived.
Stella was known for her kind heart and her dedication to both her family and community. She worked as a school cook with the Barren School System, where she nourished many young lives with her meals. Yet, it was in her role as a homemaker that she took the greatest pride—a role she embraced fully, offering love and care that formed the foundation of her family's happiness. Apart from her duties in the home, Stella was an avid gardener, known for her love of flowers and her talent for painting beautiful flower pots which she lovingly gifted to family and friends. Her passion for cooking was well known, and she delighted in preparing hearty, comforting meals for those she loved.
Stella was a devoted member of the Wisdom Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where her faith was an integral part of her life.
She is survived by her sons Raymond Marshall Bragg (Linda), Michael Bragg, Kyle "Curly" Bragg (DeAnn), and Leslie "Buzz" Bragg (Cynthia); her daughter Teresa Buchanan (Stan); and her grandchildren Ryan Samuels (Anna), Will Samuels (Darci), Tyler Bragg (Lauren), Sarah Asbury (Adam), Alexis Bragg (Cody), Cody Caldwell (Jessica), and Allison Jointer (Chase). She also cherished her great-grandchildren, Leona, Sage, Ava, Heartland, Evelyn, Toren, Stella, Levi, Hayes, Harrison, and Palmer. Stella’s siblings Joann Haggerty and Carl Wright, along with several nieces and nephews, also survive her, carrying forward the cherished memories of a beloved sister and aunt.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Wright and Anna Harper Wright; her husband, Raymond Howard Bragg; her sister, Joy Bull; and her brother, Lee Harper.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 29th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Mt. Olivet Deweese Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
Stella Elaine Bragg’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and faith. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy endures in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.
