Steven Wayne Ferrell

Steven Wayne Ferrell, 73, of Glasgow, Kentucky, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 23, 2025, with his beloved family by his side. Born on May 20, 1952, in St. Albans, West Virginia, he was the cherished son of the late Freelan and Virginia Ferrell.

He was a proud graduate of Marshall University. While there, Steve was an active member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, where he not only formed lifelong friendships but also met the love of his life, Patricia (Patty) A. Patterson Ferrell. Their 47 years of marriage were marked by unwavering love and companionship. Throughout his professional life, Steve dedicated himself as an advertising manager, a role he embraced until his retirement in 2015. However, his true passion lay in music; he played in various bands and was a devoted member of the Glenview Christian Church praise band, where he shared his musical gifts with the community.Steve was known for his warm heart and devotion to animals, particularly Golden Retrievers. Together with his late wife, he rescued, fostered, and adopted numerous Goldens, opening their home and hearts to these loving companions. 

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patty, and his brother, Alan D. Ferrell. He leaves behind his son, Jonathan Ferrell (Taylor) of Glasgow, Kentucky; his niece, Rebecca Thomas (Rich) of Falls Church, Virginia; great nieces, Charlotte and Evie Thomas; multiple cousins; and his best friend, Tasha, his faithful Golden Retriever. Steve's life will be celebrated with compassion and reverence. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Glenview Christian Church, located at 1403 Glenview Dr., Glasgow, KY 42141. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life so beautifully lived and loved.
