Teresa Jean Smith, 65, of Glasgow, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle of illness. She was born on May 10, 1960, to the late Bobby Cleon Hodges and the late Francis (Keener) Hodges. She was a member of Union #2 Missionary Baptist Church.

A beloved member of her community and a dedicated teacher’s aide at Barren County Schools, Teresa found immense joy in her work with children, inspiring countless young minds with her patience and kindness. Teresa was not only passionate about her profession but also cherished the simple pleasures of life. She held dear memories of countless trips to the beach, where the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun brought her joy and tranquility. Those moments were a testament to her zest for life and her love for nature.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tim Smith; daughter, Christie Runyon (Brad); stepsons, Joshua Smith, Jonathan Smith (Stacey); grandchildren, Hunter Love, Will Runyon, Emily Runyon, Eli Smith (Summer), Toren Smith, Brynn Springer (Dustin), Ann Douglas Martin (Dee), Ty Springer (Emma); great grandchildren, Staylee Shirley, Brexleigh Coleman, Zaiden Martin, Camri Martin, Novyn Love, Mable Springer; sister, Felicia Devore (Dennis); aunt, Dotty Martin (Dave); nieces and nephews, Josh Devore (Amy), Brook Muse, Haley Frazier (Jeremy); best friend, Donna Williams, along with several great nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Hodges.

The funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 4th, 2025, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the White Cemetery in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, September 3rd, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Thursday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
