Thomas Elmore "Tommy" Bellamy

Tommy Bellamy 89 of Glasgow died Monday, June 06, 2016 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren County he was the son of the late Romie Arthur Bellamy and Ruie Mae Rigsby Bellamy. Tommy was a U. S. Navy veteran, and a carpenter and a former employee of Atwell's Cabinet Shop and James N. Gray Construction Co. He was a member of Allen Lodge #24 F&AM in Glasgow and the Beech Grove Baptist Church at Eighty Eight. He had been involved with country music bands and gospel singing groups for most of his life and along with his daughter had been a member of the Temple Trio for many years. He is survived by his wife Katherine Powell Bellamy; his daughter Tommie Kaye Thomas and husband Randy of Glasgow; 3 grandchildren Josh Thomas (Aundi), Ben Thomas (Halie) and Amanda Meek (Casey) all of Glasgow and 5 great-grandchildren Conlee, Jase, Leigha Kate, Trapper and Ava. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, June 9th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Refuge Cemetery at Eighty Eight with military honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will begin 3:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
