Thurman Hearold Wooten,88, of Park City, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky. He was born on April 9, 1937, in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Robert Wooten and the late Delza Turner Wooten. 

Thurman spent his career as a farmer, a vocation he cherished deeply. He loved spending time on the farm and with his family and friends. His commitment to his work was matched only by his devotion to his loved ones. A man of faith, Thurman was also a proud member of the Old Zion Church.

In addition to his farming legacy, Thurman served his country honorably in the US Army, showcasing his dedication to service beyond the fields. His military service was a testament to his character and commitment to the well-being of others.

Thurman leaves behind a loving family who will greatly miss him, including his wife of 67 years, Barbara Ann Furlong Wooten; his children, Penny Huffman (David) and Ricky Wooten (Michele); his grandchildren, Brent Huffman (Sabrina) and Lindsay Carver (Chris); and his great-grandchildren, Luke, Leo, Cruz, and Camila Huffman. He is also survived by his sister, Hazel Duvall, and several nieces and nephews, all of whom carry forward his warm spirit and love.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Herbert Wooten and Billy Wooten.

The Funeral Service for Mr. Wooten will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 28, 2025, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Old Zion Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and after 8:00 AM, Monday at the funeral home.
